Freemasonry is an initiatory and esoteric brotherhood rooted in centuries-old traditions and ancient legends. The Craft, as we call it, employs the medieval stonemasons’ symbols and rituals to promote personal growth and moral insight.

From its earliest days, Freemasonry has respected the beliefs of its members and promotes an environment where diversity is valued. Amsterdam Lodge

Amsterdam Lodge is a regular Freemasonry organisation with members from across the world and all walks of life. We follow in the tradition of centuries of Freemasonry, guided by its principles, symbolism, and rituals. Our work is conducted under the Grand East of the Netherlands, upholding the Regular Masonic standards and the heritage of our Craft. As a vibrant and inclusive Masonic lodge, home to brethren from over 30 nationalities, diverse professions, and Masonic traditions, we are united by a shared commitment to self-improvement and positive impact on the world around us.

Our members engage with philosophy, esoteric traditions, psychology, science, the arts, history, and other fields that enrich our shared Masonic journey. We create an environment for each brother in becoming a more thoughtful, confident, and purposeful individual, capable of serving his loved ones, his community, and society at large.

This journey is made possible through true fraternity, genuine companionship, and lasting friendship.
